Embedded Files
Prerequisite: Knowing how to upload media files is required. For instruction on how to do this, check the "How to Upload Logos" section.
1) Using a browser (Chrome, if possible), go to this case-sensitive URL: http://WO-SIGNAGE-CMS/ContentManager
Login with these credentials for now:
- Username: amenities_letushelp
- Password: 12345678
http://WO-SIGNAGE-CMS/ContentManager is an internal web site that may only be accessible from specific locations.
2) Click on "Media"
3) You are now in the Media Library, which holds:
A) 2 messages (White Oaks Amenities and White Oaks Let Us Help)
B) and all your images used for these 2 messages.
4) Click on the name of "White Oaks Amenities" to make changes to the Amenities.
You will be brought to the Amenities message that has the following sections:
A) Text fields that you can edit to fill in information.
B) Image fields that you can choose to update the image showing the amenity.
C) Scrollbar to access additional fields.
D) Choose different amenities by selecting the page number.
5) If you use the scrollbar to see the additional fields in the bottom, you will find MapX and MapY fields. These are used to plot a green icon on a map to show where the amenity is. If the values are both 0, then the "show me on map" option will not be shown to guests.
6) Here is another amenity showing values for MapX and MapY. These are X,Y pixel coordinates that start from the top left of the map as 0,0 and move towards the bottom right. Some experimentation or assistance may be required to get the right values.
7) If changes are made, the "Save Changes" button will show. When saved, changes will reflect on the wayfinding displays in about 2 minutes.
Number of amenities: Up to 20 pages exists for Amenities to be added.
Empty amenities: Having an empty page in the middle of the list of pages is not a concern. ie. If page 1 and 3 had amenities but page 2 was empty, then it is skipped over. The wayfinding display does not show an empty amenity. A page is considered to have an empty amenity if its headline is empty.
8) Click on the name of "White Oaks Let Us Help" to make changes to the Let Us Help section. Changes into this section are very similar as what's in Amenities but even simpler since there is only one page.
